BACKGROUND
Flying Start Online (FSO) is proud to offer an exciting new initiative in education and personal development. We will be running a number of interest based interactive online courses that provide participants a guided tour through some of our most difficult to access industries.
The FSO experience is built around bringing interested and motivated people together with the leading, high-profile industry professionals to examine the inner workings of the sport, health and entertainment industries.
HOW TO BE A SPORTS AGENT
Our exciting new format includes:
· A weekly video presentation featuring pioneering player agent Ricky Nixon in discussion with high-profile industry experts · A weekly online discussion group providing you with direct access to Ricky and an opportunity to further explore the weekly topic and ask questions about management and the industry.
Our inaugural course offering, ‘How to be a Sports Agent’, consists of an eight week curriculum facilitated by Australia’s leading AFL player agent Ricky Nixon.
Each week registered participants will log onto the Flying Start Online website to access a live video presentation featuring Ricky and leading industry experts discussing the sporting industry. Ricky will share his experiences at the forefront of athlete management, providing an unprecedented insight into life as an agent.
Guests in the video presentions include: current AFL players Brad Johnson and Nick Dal Santo; former Olympian and high-profile sports physician, Dr. Peter Larkins; AFL Players' Association CEO, Matt Finnis; recruiting and talent identification gurus, Craig Cameron and Scott Clayton; former Socceroo captain and current Sports Marketing Manager for Adidas Australia, Jimmy Tansey; and the Sandringham Dragons Regional Manager, Wayne Oswald.
At the conclusion of each week an online discussion group will allow you to interact with Ricky and the other participants. You will be free to ask questions and discuss the weekly topic or the latest headlines. In addition, each student will receive our updated course materials booklet, a headset and step-by-step instructions for setting up the Flying Start Online interactive technology to enable direct communication with the presenter and fellow students.

Flying Start is pleased to announce the launch of a new joint initiative with AFL Victoria.
The V Squad Junior Football Education Program is focused on providing a unique and memorable learning environement to help our participants improve, on and off the field.
Camps in the September and April school holidays will introduce participants to leading AFL development coaches and life skills teachers. And our website will provide information, tips and feedback as well as tasks, challenges and support during the three year program.
